On Thursday evening, 14th June at 19.30 we invite You to the St. Mary’s Basilica for a concert by The Founder’s Choir of Royal Holloway from Great Britain.
The Founder’s Choir of Royal Holloway invite you to join them for an introspective programme of works from a wide variety of international composers. Featuring pieces such as Henryk Górecki’s Totus Tuus, Rene Clausen’s In Pace, and the rarely performed cycle for choir and guitar, A Procession Winding Around Me by Jeffery Van.
The Choir of Royal Holloway is considered one of the finest mixed-voice collegiate choirs in the country. Is one of two auditioned student choirs on the university’s campus. Comprised of roughly thirty members, the choir rehearses weekly to provide music to the local area as well as singing several concerts and services in the university chapel. The choir sings an eclectic range of choral works varying from renaissance polyphony to contemporary compositions. The choir’s conductor is Claire Clyne.
