Tours of the Basilica

From 13th of Novem­ber 2017 the­re will be no offi­cial ope­ning of St. Mary’s Altar by Veit Stoss at 11.50 a.m. The Altar stays ope­ned.

From 1st of Sep­tem­ber until 31st of Octo­ber 2018 due to the seve­re con­se­rva­tion works, visi­ting of St. Mary’s Basi­li­ca inte­rior tem­po­ra­ri­ly SUSPENDED. Confession from 12-18 p.m in the church of. St. Barbara's.


11.30 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. / every day



After the conclusion of Sunday Masses — from around 2.00 p.m. until 6.00 p.m.

Ticket office is closing 15 minutes before the end of visiting time.

St. Mary’s Church is open to individual visitors and tourist groups every day when no Mass is being conducted.

Half of the church is open to tourists, including the presbytery and its main altar. Admission to this part of the Basilica is based on admission tickets.

The second part of the church with the main entrance is limited to personal prayer in front of the Eucharist exhibited in the monstrance and to confession. During the visit, please keep silence.
